Rush Limbaugh Hospital Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh was taken to a hospital with chest pains on Wednesday, a Honolulu television station reported.

Emergency Medical Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic said paramedics took a male of unknown age to an area hospital from the Kahala Hotel and Resort. He said he had no further information.
Limbaugh was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week, KITV said. The country club is next to the Kahala hotel.
For privacy reasons, hotel spokeswoman Sheila Donnelly Theroux said she was unable to acknowledge that Limbaugh is a guest.
In 2001, Limbaugh reported he had lost most of his hearing due to an autoimmune inner-ear disease. He had surgery to have an electronic device placed in his skull to restore his hearing.
Two years later Limbaugh acknowledged he was addicted to pain medicine. He blamed the addiction on severe back pain, and took a five-week leave from his radio show to enter rehab.

Gus Dur Meninggal Dunia
Gus Dur Meninggal Dunia - Setelah dirawat beberapa saat di RSCM, Rabu (30/12) pukul 18.45, Gus Dur diberitakan oleh sejumlah media telah meninggal dunia. Konfirmasi yang dilakukan oleh wartawan pada beberapa menit lalu pada Sholahudin Wahid bahwa Presiden RI ke-4 itu telah wafat.
Berita tentang meninggalnya Gus Dur diperoleh Solahudin Wahid melalui SMS yang dikirim ajudannya yang selalu menunggu Gus Dur selama dirawat di RSCM. Seperti diketahui sebelumnya, Gus Dur tiap minggu harus menjalani cuci darah sebanyak tiga kali. Seminggu yang lalu, Gus Dur juga menjalani pencabutan gigi bagian atas.
Sementara itu, wartawan CyberNews di Rembang mengatakan saat di Rembang Gus Dur sempat menannyakan Kyai Sepuh yang sudah meninggal. Beberapa orang yang mendengar sempat bertanya apa maksud pertanyaan tersebut. Apakah Gus Dur juga akan berpulang?

Meskipun ada rencana revisi buku Membongkar Gurita Cikeas karya George Junus Aditjondro, justru menambah rasa penasaran sejumlah masyarakat. Apalagi, dengan kontroversi di balik isi buku tersebut.
Praktis, ketika ada orang yang membawa dan menjual buku dengan cover berwarna putih tersebut langsung diserbu. Seperti yang terlihat di halaman kantor DPRD Provinsi Jawa Tengah, Senin (28/12), seorang penjual buku yang menawarkan Membongkar Gurita Cikeas, langsung dikerumuni pembeli. Tujuh belas buku yang dibawanya pun habis dalam hitungan menit.
”Saya memang hanya bawa 17 buku, karena hanya itu yang saya dapat. Tapi, cepat sekali habisnya begitu buku tersebut saya tawarkan. Ada juga yang memborong 10 buku langsung,” beber seorang pedagang.
Tidak hanya itu, menurutnya, hingga kini pesanan buku itu masih terus mengalir. Namun, sayangnya dia tidak dapat memastikan kapan akan mendapat buku lagi, mengingat sekarang ini tidak ada lagi stok buku tersebut. "Tergantung bosnya. Kalau ada barang lagi, ya saya jual. Kalau tidak, ya bagaimana lagi," ujar dia.
Salah seorang pembeli, Sunu Fajar, menjelaskan, dia sengaja memborong 10 buku yang ditawarkan kelilingan tersebut, untuk dibagikan kepada rekan-rekannya sesama aktivis. Apalagi, selama ini dia sudah berburu buku setebal 183 halaman itu ke seluruh toko buku di Kota Semarang.
Selain pedagang kelilingan yang diserbu, tidak sedikit pula warga yang mencoba memperbanyak buku dengan cara memfotokopi. Pasalnya, untuk mencari buku itu di sejumlah toko buku tidaklah mudah.
Ina, misalnya, dia begitu penasaran dengan isi buku yang mengundang kontroversi tersebut. Namun, setelah tidak juga mendapatkan buku itu di sejumlah toko buku di Kota Semarang, Ina pun memutuskan untuk memfotokopi buku yang dikabarkan menceritakan keterlibatan SBY dan keluarganya dalam kasus Bank Century.
"Bukan bermaksud membajak, tapi, saya cuma ingin tahu, seperti apa sih isi buku yang ramai dibicarakan orang. Kalau bukunya banyak dijual di pasaran, saya tidak perlu lagi fotokopi," kata dia.
Lain halnya dengan yang dilakukan Ari. Dia lebih suka menyimpan buku itu dalam bentuk soft copy di laptopnya. Mengingat sulit mencari isi buku melalui internet, dia pun menscan buku milik temannya.
Sementara itu, berdasarkan pantauan Wawasan, tidak hanya toko buku yang tidak menjual buku Membongkar Gurita Cikeas, tapi di sejumlah kios buku, seperti di kawasan Stadion Diponegoro, buku tersebut juga tidak ditemui.
Beberapa pedagang di kompleks Stadion Diponegoro mengaku sulit mencari buku yang saat ini banyak diburu pembaca yang mengaku ingin mengerti isi dari buku "Gurita Cikeas".
Tidak saja dalam bentuk asli cetakan dari penerbit, penerbit yang engan disebut namanya juga mengaku masih kesulitan untuk bisa mendapatkan buku "tembakan" guna memenuhi permintaan pencinta buku.
Sementara itu para pedagang pun masih menunggu kiriman buku-buku yang di pasaran laris manis bak kacang goreng tersebut. "Kalau ada yang mengirimi, kami siap untuk menjualnya," tambah seorang pedagang.

Buku itu sendiri baru akan diluncurkan Rabu (30/12) besok di Doekoen Cafe, Graha Permata, Pancoran, Jakarta Selatan.
Namun perburuan itu sendiri sia-sia, sebab buku tersebut meski menurut penerbitnya sudah dicetak ribuan eksempelar, seperti menghilang dari peredaran. Di toko-toko buku besar, apalagi toko buku kecil kosong. Mereka mengaku belum mendapat kiriman buku tersebut.
Para pemburu buku itu mengaku berani membeli dengan harga lebih tinggi, namun barangnya tetap tidak ada. Informasi menyebutkan buku tersebut bisa dibeli di sebuah tempat di kawasan Kelapa Gading, Jakarta Utara. Tapi ditempat yang disebutkan itu mereka hanya bisa inden, alias sebatas memesan. Karena memang bukunya sudah ludes.
"Banyak yang datang kemari, tapi kami hanya melayani pemesanan, sebab memang stok kami sudah habis,"kata salah seorang karyawan di toko buku itu.
Inu Kencana, mantan dosen SPDN, merupakan salah satu orang yang sudah mencari kemana-mana. Sudah beberapa toko buku yang dia datangi, namun belum mendapatkan hasil. "Saya sudah cari ke mana-mana, beberapa toko buku baik di Bandung dan Jakarta, tapi tidak ada,"katanya.

Namun, menurut mantan Danpuspom Mayjen (Purn) Syamsu Djalal, seharusnya Presiden SBY tidak reaktif seperti itu dalam menanggapi buku Membongkar Gurita Cikeas di Balik Skandal Century itu.
"Seharusnya Presiden SBY mempelajari terlebih dulu isi buku itu dan jangan langsung merespon dengan pernyataan. Cari sisi positipnya. Belum apa-apa kok langsung mengatakan buku itu fitnah, "katanya dalam diskusi di sebuah tempat di kawasan Kebonkacang, Tanah Abang

Buku Membongkar Gurita Cikeas, Buku Sampah
Partai Demokrat, sebagai pendukung Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono mengomentari terbitnya buku kontroversial 'Membongkar Gurita Cikeas: Di Balik Skandal Bank Century' karya George Junus Aditjondro.
"Selamat, Anda berhasi menjual sampah dengan strategi yang hebat," kata Sekretaris Jenderal Partai Demokrat, Amir Syamsuddin dalam perbincangan di tvOne, Senin 28 Desember 2009.

Fatwa Haram Infotainment
Fatwa haram tayangan infotainment yang dikeluarkan PBNU tidak bisa menghentikan semua tayangan yang berisi seputar selebritis itu. Keputusan PBNU itu dinilai terlalu ekstrim dan berlebihan.
"Semua ada undang-undangnya dan yang lebih berwenang itu Komisi Penyiaran Indonesia (KPI), pihak KPI bisa memperingatkan infotainment kalau-kalau sudah melabrak kode etik. PBNU memang bisa mengeluarkan fatwa infotainment haram ditayangkan tapi tidak bisa menutup tayangan itu," kata Ketua Advokasi Aliansi Jurnalis Indonesia (AJI), Megi Mardiono, kepada okezone, Minggu (27/12/2009).
Pihak infotainment, kata dia, juga harus melakukan pembenahan terhadap pencarian berita. "Dua hal yang harus dibenahi infotainment. Pertama etikanya, kedua objeknya. Kalau dua hal itu bisa diatasi, saya rasa tidak perlu ada fatwa haram," tambahnya.
PBNU mengeluarkan fatwa haram terhadap tayangan infotainment. Fatwa haram tersebut berdasarkan hasil Musyawarah Alim Ulama NU di Surabaya, Juli 2006 lalu.

Baridin ditangkap di Garut
Baridin Tertangkap di Garut, Mertua Noordin M Top yang selama ini buron, Baridin, dikabarkan ditangkap di Garut, Jawa Barat sekira pukul 05.00 WIB.”Benar tim Densus 88 telah menangkap yang bersangkutan pagi hari ini pukul 05.00,” ujar Kabid Penum Kombes Ketut Untung Yoga Ana, melalui pesan singkat yang diterima okezone, Kamis (24/12/2009).
Saat ini polisi masih melakukan pengembangan di lapangan.Ketut menyatakan jika pengembangan sudah maksimal dilakukan, pihaknya akan segera menyebarkan informasi kepada media.
Sementara itu kuasa hukum keluarga Baridin, Asludin Hatjani, yang dihubungi okezone, mengatakan belum mengetahui adanya penangkapan tersebut. “Kami belum tahu,” katanya.
Baridin adalah pimpinan Pesantren Al Muaddib di Desa Pesuruhan, Kecamatan Binangun, Cilacap, Jawa Tengah. Putri Baridin, bernama Ariani Rahma diketahui merupakan istri ketiga Noordin M Top yang dinikahi pada 2006.
Selain merupakan ayah dari Arina, Baridin adalah paman dari Saefudin Zuhri yang sudah ditangkap lebih dulu karena diduga berperan sebagai penyuplai senjata kelompok Noordin M Top.
Setelah penangkapan itu, pada 14 Juni 2009, polisi yang menggerebek rumah Baridin, menemukan sejumlah bahan peledak di kebun yang terletak di belakang rumahnya.

The parents who carried out the balloon boy hoax were sentenced to jail Wednesday and given strict probation conditions that forbid them from earning any money from the spectacle for four years.
Richard Heene was sentenced to 90 days in jail, including 60 days of work release that will let him pursue his job as a construction contractor while serving his time. His wife, Mayumi, was sentenced to 20 days in jail.
Richard Heene choked back tears as he said he was sorry, especially to the rescue workers who chased down false reports that his 6-year-old son had floated away in a balloon on Oct. 15. It was a stunt designed to generate attention for a reality TV show.
"I do want to reiterate that I'm very, very sorry. And I want to apologize to all the rescue workers out there, and the people that got involved in the community. That's it," said Richard Heene, whose wife did not speak at the hearing.
Larimer County District Judge Stephen Schapanski then ordered Heene to begin a 30-day jail term on Jan. 11, delaying the start of the sentence for two weeks so he can spend the holidays with his family. Schapanski allowed Heene to serve the remaining 60 days of his jail term under work release, meaning he can work during the day but spend his nights in jail.
The Heenes' probation will be revoked if they are found to be profiting from any book, TV, movie or other deals related to the stunt.
"This, in simple terms, was an elaborate hoax that was devised by Mr. and Mrs. Heene," the judge said.
The Heenes pleaded guilty to charges that they carried out the balloon hoax, with deals that called for up to 90 days in jail for the husband and 60 days for his wife.
Schapanski ordered Mayumi Heene to serve 20 days in jail after her husband completes his sentence. Her time served is flexible — she can report to jail on 10 weekends, for example — so the children are cared for, the judge said.
Prosecutors asked for the maximum sentence for the husband, saying that a message needs to be sent to promoters who attempt to carry out hoaxes to generate publicity. Chief Deputy District Attorney Andrew Lewis also asked for full restitution to reimburse authorities for the cost of investigating the hoax — an amount that could exceed $50,000.
"People around the world were watching this unfold," he said. "Mr. Heene wasted a lot of manpower and a lot of money in wanting to get himself some publicity."
He added, "Jay Leno said it best when he said, 'This is copycat game.' And people will copycat this event. (The Heenes) need to go to jail so people don't do that."
He portrayed the Heenes as growing increasingly desperate as their pitches for a reality TV show kept getting turned down by networks — and the family fell deeper into a financial hole. Lewis said the Heenes set in motion the balloon hoax in early October as a way to jumpstart the effort and get some attention.
They chose Oct. 15 because the weather was cooperating and the kids were home for school with parent-teacher conferences, allowing the Heenes to report that 6-year-old Falcon had floated away, Lewis said.

Begitu banyak faktor yang menjadikan mereka sebagai pekerja jalanan yang keras dan beresiko, seperti membantu ekonomi keluarga, menjadi korban penculikan, dipaksa bekerja orang lain, dan lain sebagainya.
Seharusnya yang mereka lakukan adalah belajar dan bermain seperti layaknya anak-anak seumur mereka tanpa harus mencari uang untuk dapat tetap bertahan hidup. Masa depan Bangsa dan Negara Indonesia terletak di tangan generasi penerus. Kualitas SDM yang rendah sangat berpengaruh pada kondisi negara kita tercinta ini baik saat ini maupun di masa yang akan datang.
Salah satu hal kecil yang bisa kita lakukan untuk membantu anak-anak kecil yang bekerja sebagai pengamen cilik, pedagang asongan, pengemis, dan lain sebagainya di jalanan adalah dengan tidak memberi mereka uang serta memberi tahu orang lain untuk tidak memberi juga walaupun merasa sangat kasihan.
Apabila tidak ada satu orang pun yang memberi mereka uang, maka anak-anak jalanan tersebut tidak akan ada. Alangkah lebih baik jika uang tersebut kita kumpulkan untuk membantu biaya pendidikan mereka daripada kita membantu biaya foya-foya preman yang mempekerjapaksa anak di bawah umur, biaya hidup orangtua yang memaksa anaknya bekerja di jalan sedangkan mereka hanya melihat dari jauh, dan lain sebagainya. Jika mereka terbiasa mendapat uang mudah dari bekerja di jalan, maka mereka setelah besar / dewasa kelak akan tetap menjadi pekerja jalanan.

State Of Emergency Review
n State of Emergency, you play as one of five selectable characters that"s going up against the Corporation--a tyrannical group that has the city in an iron grip. The city is in a state of disarray and the citizens are rebelling. Amazingly, up to 250 characters can riot onscreen at once. It"s shocking that the developers were able to render so many moving characters while keeping a smooth frame rate. Basic gameplay consists of picking up many weapons and objects to cause as much damage as humanly possible. Providing context to the senseless violence are the revolution and chaos modes. The former is the game"s tale mode and features more than 175 missions, while the latter is a single-session mode with a few variations.
For the most part, the game is an enjoyable cacophony of senseless violence, but there are some flaws. Although the revolution mode boasts an impressive number of missions, they do acquire repetitive. The game screams for a multiplayer mode, but it"s strictly one player. In spite of these flaws, the game remains addictive and fun. It bears repeating that gamers looking for another GTA III will not find it here: this game provides an arcadelike experience that"s brilliant, but in a very different way. Parents should note that this game carries a Mature rating for its blood, violence, and gore. --Raymond M. Padilla

I found it more fun just running around shooting people, not going with any tale line but that got ancient quick. This game is worth renting, playing two or three times but that"s about it.
